Adaptability in Complex Recruitment for Education

Context

In the education sector, particularly in Île-de-France, our client, a renowned institution, engaged our services to recruit a Director of Admissions and Promotion. This need arose following the departure of the current head, creating an urgent vacancy. The role, at the C-Level leadership, required a strategic approach to ensure perfect alignment with the institution's vision.

Challenges

The main challenge was the mutual understanding of market needs and the client’s requirements. The recruitment process extended over 40 weeks, mainly due to initially stringent criteria and non-competitive remuneration. With four interviews at the client and a series of 44 calls, our team needed to demonstrate flexibility and resilience to navigate occasionally conflicting expectations from different stakeholders.

our approach

Fauve implemented a collaborative and transparent strategy to overcome these obstacles. By engaging in open dialogue with the client, we adjusted the profile requirements, transitioning from a costly ideal to a promising yet economically viable profile. Our recruiter played a key role in this transition, maintaining a transparent and firm dialogue while presenting market realities to the client. This approach built consensus around a potential profile while rationalizing initial expectations.

The impact

Through our approach, we identified an outstanding candidate, Laura, who proved to be the fresh breath the team needed. With her willing temperament and transparency, she established a positive managerial dynamic, warmly welcomed by the teams. Her integration infused new simplicity and effectiveness, promoting the achievement of organizational goals and harmonious alignment with the client’s values.
